How to Effectively Clean Stuffed Animals

Every child has a lot of stuffed animals and as parents we need to keep all these toys fresh and clean. Except the carpet cleaning now you need think about toys disinfecting, when cleaning the house. As we all know, stuffed toys absorb a lot of the dust in the house, that is why you need to clean them regularly. Washing them in the washing machine will remove all the dirt off, however you cannot kill the mites that are inside the toys. Here some information that you can take advantage of when cleaning your children's toys.

You need to vacuum the stuffed animals regularly, this way you will remove as much mites as possible with a vacuum cleaner.

The next step is to place the toys in the washing machine, add some laundry detergent and use hot water to kill the mites.

To dry them you can use the dryer, but do not forget to switch to hot heat, this way you will kill the rest of the mites, that are still alive.

However, some of the stuffed toys cannot be washed because of the material they are made of. The best option in this case is to freeze these toys. Put them in a plastic bag, lock it tightly and put it in the freezer. Let them sit that way at least overnight, this will kill any mites inside the toys. To ensure that toys are completely clean, after the freezer dry them in the dryer on a high heat.
