Removing Barbecue Sauce Stains from Carpets

Barbecue sauce is one of the most delicious additions to the food. It tastes great but however it ends up on your clothes, upholstery or carpet. Changing clothes and upholstery can be easy, but changing carpet can cost a lot of money and efforts. So when you face a barbecue sauce stain you need to react quickly and make sure your carpet stays clean and fabulous.
We have prepared for you some cleaning ideas for the successful removal of barbecue sauce stains from carpets.

Barbecue Stain Removal Methods
The first method that we will suggest for cleaning barbecue sauce stains starts with scraping the sauce from the carpet using a butter knife or a spoon. Be careful not to damage the fibres of the carpet. Use a mixture of dish washing product and warm water to sponge the stain area with a clean cloth. Move the cloth gently and avoid rubbing or scrubbing the carpet. Blot the area using a clean dry cloth until the moisture is completely absorbed. When you are done blotting the area, mix ammonia and warm water and sponge the area again using a sponge. Blot the stain using a dry cloth and repeat the process until the spot is clean. Finally clean the area using a clean wet cloth and put some baking soda on the area during the night. In the morning vacuum the carpet to remove the baking soda and there should not be any traces of the sauce on your carpet.
The second method for cleaning barbecue sauce stains from the carpets starts again with scraping the sauce from the carpet using a spoon or a butter knife. Sponge the area using clean cloth and cold water and use liquid detergent to rub the caret. Blot the area using a clean dry cloth and use a spray stain remover to apply on the spot. Allow the product to stay on the spot for a few minutes and then clean the stain remover using warm water and a clean cloth. Repeat the process several times until the stain is completely removed.
If any of the above methods do not work on the stain, we would recommend contacting professional carpet cleaning services to make sure the barbecue stain is completely removed and your carpet is perfectly clean. Do not wait too much because the sauce can leave an oily stain on the carpet that could be difficult to remove.
