Kitchen Drill

  • Put away all foodstuffs, and if they are kept on open shelves, make sure they are in airtight,
  • Bacteria-proof containers
  • Wash dishes
  • Wipe down work surfaces and remove spills and splodges
  • Clean all work surfaces and underneath appliances, such as kettles, toasters and any other items
  • Stored on worktops
  • Clean the cooker hob
  • Throw out old and bad food — make sure nothing nasty is lurking at the back of the fridge
  • Wipe down the outside of the fridge
  • Clean the floor
  • Empty the bins and rinse out
1-3 Monthly (depending on your dirt-tolerance level)
  • Wipe down the inside of the fridge, wipe or rinse shelves and wash out fruit and veg storage drawers
  • Scrub down the worktops
  • Clean the hob and oven
  • Wipe around door and drawer handles
  • De-frost the freezer
  • Mop or scrub the floor thoroughly making an effort to get into corners and underneath things
