Daily
- Put away all foodstuffs, and if they are kept on open shelves, make sure they are in airtight,
- Bacteria-proof containers
- Wash dishes
- Wipe down work surfaces and remove spills and splodges
Weekly
- Clean all work surfaces and underneath appliances, such as kettles, toasters and any other items
- Stored on worktops
- Clean the cooker hob
- Throw out old and bad food — make sure nothing nasty is lurking at the back of the fridge
- Wipe down the outside of the fridge
- Clean the floor
- Empty the bins and rinse out
1-3 Monthly (depending on your dirt-tolerance level)
- Wipe down the inside of the fridge, wipe or rinse shelves and wash out fruit and veg storage drawers
- Scrub down the worktops
- Clean the hob and oven
- Wipe around door and drawer handles
- De-frost the freezer
- Mop or scrub the floor thoroughly making an effort to get into corners and underneath things
