How to Make Green Carpet Cleaning Shampoo

Keeping carpets clean can be one of the hardest tasks. Mould, dirt and odors are absorbed daily by the carpet during the constant household activities. That is way, it is a good idea to buy a steam carpet cleaning machine. But the chemical-based cleaning agents for it can be very harmful for you, your family, pets and to the environment as well. Now you can go green and make your own environmentally friendly cleaning solution.

Basic recipe

Make a mixture of a half cup of white vinegar and one litre water. Fill the steam cleaner with the solution and clean directly like with the manufacturer's solutions.

Stain remover

Combine enough vinegar and backing soda to make a paste. Apply the solution to the area and scrub it into the carpet by using an old toothbrush or other type of brush, if needed. Let the paste to dry.

Crease cleaner

First you need to absorb as much grease as you can. Then you should sprinkle either cornstarch or backing soda onto the grease-based stain. Let it sit a couple of hours or overnight, if possible. Vacuum the carpet thoroughly to remove all the moisture.

Carpet foam cleaner

For this solution you need to make a mixture of three spoons of water and ¼ cup of vegetable oil-based liquid soap. Mix very well, use egg mixer, if needed, until it foams. Apply the solution to the area and rub gently. After that rinse with warm water, blot with white damp cloth or paper towels. Then let it dry, use fans or air conditioner to faster the process.

Nowadays there are many green carpet cleaning London companies, you can hire one of them to help you with the job.
